Our Mission
Our goal is to provide wonder, appreciation, and pure stoke for all that Mother Nature has to offer.
Through surfing, art, and mindfulness we nurture kids' natural affinity for nature by demonstrating environmental literacy, healthy lifestyles, strong values, and a strong sense of self.

We hope to build a better future by getting kids outside often, and with knowledge and gratitude for their local natural environment.
Furthermore by incorporating education related to feminism and access to nature we break down boundaries imposed on women and marginalized groups, and aim to create a more equitable environment in the outdoors.
High Noon; noun

Hiya - From Jack & Erin

I grew up in San Francisco and learned to surf slowly over the course of my youth. To be in the sea is therapeutic, and humbling, exhilarating and ever changing. There are many ways to tap into the energy of the ocean, but I enjoy riding waves the best. Boogie boarding, body surfing, and surfing are my happiest memories; from charging shore pound with my dad at five years old, surf trips up and down the coast with my mom before I could drive, and of course sharing quality waves with good friends all throughout California, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Australia.
After graduating from Haverford College in Pennsylvania ( too far from the ocean!) with a degree in Psychology, I moved back to Northern California before first settling in Pt. Reyes, then along to Santa Cruz, and ultimately Santa Barbara pursuing opportunities in organic farming. While in Santa Cruz I apprenticed at the UCSC farm & garden, and from there took over a small organic farm in Northern Santa Barbara County. The fine points and miles of beach break throughout Central and Southern California provided relief from demanding farm work and were integrated into my daily routine.
After several years in Santa Barbara it was time to return North and I once again found myself in Marin County. I put organic farming on the back burner and started work at Proof Lab Surf Shop - a shop I had long respected and a hub of the Northern California surf community. During my time there I was able to meet and learn from countless members of the Marin surfing community and the broader surfing world.
I love Marin County, and I am passionate about enjoying its wild spaces. The redwood forests, oak grasslands, rivers, lakes, trails, and the Pacific Coast. At High Noon Nature Camp our goal is to provide enjoyable, educational, and respectful experiences in nature. Its about connecting with our local environment, tapping into the abundance of our natural world to ease tension, stress, anxiety, and provide time away from screens and the pressure of academic and social demands. I have worked with children in various contexts over the last 15 years as a camp counselor, coach, organic garden educator, and surf instructor. I look forward to meeting you all in person.

When I was young my family prioritized time in the outdoors every chance we had. It was through these experiences that my parents shared with me the healing and grounding power of nature.
I found that natural spaces were my greatest comfort. Through outdoor adventure I found stability, confidence, empowerment, and a deeply rooted sense of values. In college the study of photography facilitated a strong connection between my love for the outdoors, art, and social & environmental activism.
By incorporating art and mindfulness practices along with outdoor activity I work to reinforce the integration of productive downtime and purposeful play. Ultimately working toward greater awareness, and a more empathetic worldview.
It is with honor and gratitude that I share these experiences & intentions with others.
